Johannes Braun OLCKERS came from Rendsburg in Germany. He was the son of Jürgen Olckers and Barbara Schön. He was a physician. He married on 14 October 1753 Martha Catharina JACOBSE, she was an emancipated slave. He married the second time on 12 October 1755 Johanna JONKER. She was the sister of Adolph Jonker, their parents were Jonker van Makkassar and Rosetta van Java. Olckers went back to Europe but returned again to the Cape. CHILDREN
